2011 Dance Scholarship

The 2011 Dance Scholarships are made possible through the Jaimie Hill and Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Foundation established after Jaimie and Tammy-Lynn, members of the Artistique Performing Arts Company (APAC), lost their lives in a bus accident en route to perform at the Peach Festival in Penticton, BC. It is their love of dance that these scholarships are awarded to Dancers who demonstrate an enthusiasm for the art of dance and who want to continually strive to achieve their full potential.

This year we awarded Hip Hop dance scholarships in the name of Lisa Robb. Lisa was a former dance member of APAC who passed away this year at the age of 32 after a lengthy illness. Hip Hop dance was her passion and two dancers were awarded this special scholarship to carry on her love of dance in this particular style.
